I built up three layers of wool fibres: dark blue, turquoise and royal blue on top. Between the bottom and middle layers, I put strips of plastic sheeting. After felting, I cut the felt above the plastic strips and removed them. I re-felted the cut edges open to further expose the layers of felt.
